Beauty Fix

Lynda Eichner is here with another beauty fix; fresh from the kitchen.  Her food choices are delicious so how can they help but make your skin just as scrumptious!

Homemade beauty potions.  Economical and delish.

Almonds.  Oranges.  Mmmm....

Seems like everyone has her own bedtime beauty ritual when it comes to washing up at bedtime.  But, if you're feeling adventurous or in need of a little pick me up, I recommend the following.  (note: I wash my face differently according to the weather or just my mood.  Always start with a'll understand why in just a minute).

Here goes: After removing makeup, massage sesame oil into your skin, releasing dirt and makeup.  Throw handfuls of chick pea flour onto your face which absorbs the oil, and then rinse.  This will make for some happy skin, and probably will make you laugh.

Another good one to try: Mix ground almonds and powdered orange peel and place it in the palm of your hand.  Use warm milk to form a paste and gently massage into your skin and remove with warm milk or water.  If your skin is feeling particularly dry, you can replace the milk with heavy cream.

If you're feeling sort of lazy, you can wash your whole face including eye makeup in one easy swoop.  I use Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap.  If I were stuck on a desert island, this would surely be on the top of my list of must-haves.  It's made of simple, pure ingredients including essential oils that make it smell soooooo good.  My favorite is the lavender.  Just make sure to keep your eyes shut until you are sure that you've rinsed well.  Stay tuned for more info on this stuff!!

What to moisturize with after cleansing??? I mix essential oils according to skin type for myself and for my clients.  People are addicted to them.  I have clients that literally freak out if they run out and I have to overnight them all over the world.  Mix 4 drops of oil on wet hands, and massage into your skin.  If you want to join the craze, email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  My oils are made to order for dry, sensitive or oily skin.  $34.00 for .5oz.

For a splurge, Rodin face oil. $150 for 1 oz.   I don't think you need to splurge like that!!!
